  • Fine music, but available on iTunes for cheaper

This box set (priced $199.99 as of this writing) collect’s Sinatra’s 16 albums released on the Capitol label between 1954 and 1962, and contains many of Sinatra’s most popular and familiar albums, including "In the Wee Small Hours," "Songs for Swringin’ Lovers!,” and "Frank Sinatra Sings for Only the Lonely,” among others. It also includes the fascinating obscurity “Frank Sinatra Conducts Tone Poems of Color,” a collection of tone poems by Hollywood composer/arrangers such as Billy May, Nelson Riddle, Elmer Bernstein, and Andre Previn. This is a worthwhile buy, but if you buy all of these albums separately on iTunes you’ll spend less than $170, saving more than thirty bucks. I suggest navigating to the Sinatra discography on Wikipedia and using that as a guide, buy the albums separately to save yourself some cash. The music, of course, speaks for itself. Four stars for the collection, two for the problematic price, averages to three stars.
