Madonna, creator and mother of Re-Invention has done it yet again. Confessions on a Dancefloor is proof positive that this Material Girl can not only turn back time, but she can also make it trendy and futuristic at the same time. That takes sheer brilliance, and the genius shows itself in the unique and catchy beats and words combined in this album. The Queen of Pop, The Queen of the Dancefloor, The Queen is Alive and Well, and here to stay!

I admit, I was a bit nervous about Madonna's next release, but she sure did deliver! Almost the whole album is phenomenol. Starting with Hung Up, Sorry, How High and Leike it our not- all some of my all time favorites. There are only two songs that I am not a huge fan of, Issac, does have its moments but overall not one of the best, and Jump, again has some moments but a bit underwhelming. Over all, this is one of her best albums- In my opinion, Ray of Light, Music, Confessions on a Dance Floor and her fist one- Madonna, are all must haves.

While driving home from work one night, I heard the single for "Hung Up" on the XM Radio in my car. I was immediately taken back to my youth in the 70's by the ABBA sample from "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)" and then the catchy harmony of this song just stayed with me. The album, is that and much more! This is Lady M in her awe inspiring best. The cover of the CD gives you a taste of what you are in for. It's part 70's, part confession, part insight to her amazing life and career, but mostly, it is simply an awesome ride if you're ready for the introspective journey. Awesome CD! It has been eons since a song has given me goosebumps, but the strings in "Isaac" and the bass in "Push", do it every time. The song "Hung Up" is awesome to move to, work to, live to, but the rest of the CD should NEVER be taken for granted. Other tracks show the sacrifices (some self-imposed) that she made for her career. In the end, however, they remind us that this woman is human and has made some great and not-so-great decisions just like the rest of us! The difference is that this time she's making no apologies.... Like she once said, "No Regrets" I have liked Madonna's music in the past. There were some tracks that stuck with me longer than others. However, it was the "Ray of Light" album that I totally reevaluated my idea of who she was. The lyrics of that album and the power that she portrayed through many of the songs (and the symbolism behind the track choices with tracks 3, 6, and 9 being the most captivating in my mind) helped me realize that she is a woman that has gone on with her life in a world that has judged her every action, her every word, and the children that helped her become this truly inspiring woman today. This time, however, she says it better and with the sass of a techno-hypnotic-disco-phoric beat....

A fine return to form after 2003's rather disappointing "American Life". "Confessions" will make you wanna dance and sing, get up and do your thing!!! Check out "Get Together" "Sorry" (2nd single to be released in January) & "Jump"...all destined to be Madonna standards! Let's all hope and pray for a tour to follow in 06!!!

The only good thing about this album is Hung up. Thats it. The rest of the songs are crap. This is probly the worst CD shes ever made. I pre-ordered this and im really dissapointed. I could have just bought the 1 song it is a waste of money.
