Puccini: Madame Butterfly (Tragedia Giapponese in Tre Atti in Forma di Concerto) [Deluxe Edition] - Andrea Bocelli, Carla Maria Izzo, Mariella Guarnera, Marzio Giossi, Antonio De Angelis, Antonio Taschini, Coro del Festival Puccini, Bruno Nicoli, Orchestra Città Lirica & Alberto Veronesi User Reviews
I love both of these performers but at various times during the performance (and it is pervasive between the various regular and deluxe version) there is someone coughing at a clearly audible level. I understand this is a live recording but it is very distracting none the less. It bothers me enough to write this comment. Otherwise, its a beautiful performance sullied by some knucklehead.
very impressive. gave it 2 stars. the songs are run together with no space between them... Last couple of songs especially the last is incomplete. It plays for 47 seconds, and ends in the middle of a word. I have other works of Madam Butterfly... where the spacing between music is great. and the last song is well over 5 minutes long not 47 sec. I would not recommend this.

Carla Maria Izzo is MAGNIFICENT! She has a combination of plushess of tone and innocence that jumps out of the recording, grabs you, and breaks your heart.
