Weber: Clarinet Concertos - Martin Fröst, Jean Jacques Kantorow & Tapiola Sinfonietta User Reviews
I've only been listening to the first 3 tracks, but my first impression, as a student clarinetist, is that Frost is my new favorite artist. He has an enviably beautiful tone, clear articulation, wonderful dynamic range, and many other model attributes. My only complaint would be that he plays these movements, particularly the first one, way too fast. While I understand that all music is open to interpretation, every other recording I've heard is well over 8 minutes in length. This one is under seven. Despite his flawless execution, it still sounds rushed. All in all, though, these are still excellent recordings and unquestionably well worth a listen.
